Sky
Hot Rod
Big, lovable, volunteer-favorite Hot Rod got taken home by a devoted volunteer. Both will be moving out to Kansas this summer to enjoy a big spacious backyard and will stay to cheer on the University of Kansas Jayhawks! Happy Tails to you Hot Rod!
Kimba
The beautiful baby huey puppy, Kimba, went to a couple who saw her on the website and drove all the way down from Harmony to adopt her. They are thrilled to be getting what they call "the perfect puppy" and have renamed her "Lola". She will have acres of beautiful property to grow up on. Happy Tails to you, Lola!

Thelma
Thelma was adopted to a family with a 20 yr old son. They had a similar dog that passed away last year and were ready for another dog. They all loved Thelma's shyness. Happy Tails to you, Thelma!
Regis
Regis, our one-year old chi/dachshund mix adopted to a family with teenage sons who will be giving him all the walks that he desires. Happy Tails to you, Regis!
 D.J.
DJ, our little one-year old Shih Tzu/Terrier, went to his forever home with a graduate student who waited patiently for a few weeks while DJ recovered from kennel cough. We're certain that he will be just as patient with DJ the rest of his life. Happy Tails to you, DJ!
Chance
Our sweet retriever boy Chance is the lucky dog to join a wonderful active couple who just happen to also be very recent newlyweds! They took a week off of their search for the right dog to get married and then came back to our shelter, met Chance, and he was the one. He also will have a built-in neighbor JRT playmate, Cooper. What a perfect wedding gift for them and Happy Tail for Chance!
 Marley
Marley, our older golden Chow Chow, was taken home by the mother-daughter team who rescued him off the street! Their only intention was to perhaps reunite Marley with his owner. However, as soon as Marley was available, they ran down to the shelter and brought their new family member home. Happy Tails to you, Marley!
Bobby
Our bouncing boxer boy, Bobby, went home to a wonderful woman who loved the way he moved and smiled. Bobby will have a comfortable home in the city, and get lots of trips to a ranch where he'll see so many new things. Happy Tails to you, Bobby!
Darwin
Darwin, aptly named for his intelligence and Beagle background, has sailed off to his forever home with a young man who can provide an interesting household and a ton of affection. Happy Tails to you, Darwin!
Fergie
Fantastic Fergie was part of the group of 6 that took flight from LAX to meet their forever homes on the East Coast. Fully outfitted with sweaters and coats and a warm blanket, our little guys took to the sky thanks to an innovative organization that helps match great little dogs (of which we have many) to rescue organizations back East (that don't have enough little dogs for all the people who want one). Very exciting for all. Happy Tails to you, Fergie!

Pinky
Pinky's path to adoption began with a traffic stop. The volunteer fostering her was pulled over, and the officer noticed Pinky right away. When he got off-shift, his first stop was the shelter, and the rest is a story that could have balloons and fireworks. The officer and his family whisked Pinky away to be their own. Happy Tails to you, Pinky!
Lola
Lola went to a pair of siblings who saw her at the vet while taking their own dog in to the good Doctors. It was love at first sight. Now Lola has a sib too - a dog who was adopted from our shelter in 2003! Small world? Good world. Happy Tails to you, Lola!
Angus
Angus went home with a woman who said, "I looked at him, he looked at me - it is just right". And now Angus will bring his silly joy into a lovely home with another dog to learn from and a terrific woman who already loves him. Happy Tails to you, Angus!
Little Wayne
One of K-9 PALS dedicated volunteers (especially for small dogs) officially adopted Lil' Wayne (now Sydney) after providing foster care after his neuter surgery. She was so thrilled with him (and he had gotten so cozy sleeping with her), that she couldn't resist keeping him. Sydney now has a large yard to run in with his new siblings, Poppy & Georgie. Sydney's favorite pastime is chasing bunny rabbits! Happy Tails to you, Sydney !
Treela
Treela's adopter was looking for just the right match for her and her dog Remmy. She found that in sweet Treela. They are already best buddies and having a ball playing in her lovely back yard. Happy Tails to you Treela!
Weston
Weston found just the right family with two little girls who will adore him and this lovely family found just the right dog in Weston. Happy Tails to you, Weston !
Rita
Beautiful young shepherd mix Rita came to the shelter as one sick puppy, but with excellent vet care by K-9 PALS, she recovered beautifully. She was immediately adopted by a fantastic couple who had adopted a gorgeous Siberian Husky from us before. The big boy needed a pal and when he said "Paws Up", Rita knew she had found her forever home. Happy Tails to you Rita!
Lovey
Lovey, now Shadow, (because she follows closely), met handsome older sibling, and the lovely couple - K-9 PALS volunteer and her husband, and she was pretty sure it would work. Once she saw Joey had a leopard print bed, and realized her gift bag had a leopard print ball, she knew for certain that she was home. Happy Tails to you, Shadow!
Jet
Jet was totally taken with the son of a wonderful couple looking for the perfect dog for their new home. Fortunately, all three people were equally taken by Jet's winning personality and silky black hair. Happy Tails to you, Jet!
Blinky
Blinky, a busy young mix of beagle, rat terrier, playfulness and joy, has found his match. A great young couple wanted an active fun dog to join them at home, and Blinky is it! Happy Tails to you, Blinky!
