Samantha
Heidi
Our beautiful lab girl found her forever home with a great family with an older lab boy who needed a pal. Heidi immediately fell for their son and her new lab buddy and went home a happy girl with lots of adventures in her future. Happy Tails Heidi!
Clancy
A lovely lady fell for Shih Tzu Clancy the minute she saw him and came to the shelter every day until he came up for adoption. Her perseverance paid off and Clancy went to his forever home a very happy dog. Happy Tails Clancy!

Asia
Our sweet and lovable Shar Pei, Asia, was adopted by a wonderful couple who had a Shar Pei in the past. They were thrilled by the unique circumstance of finding a rare breed like a Shar Pei at our shelter and fell for Asia's gentle wrinkly charm. Happy Tails to You, Asia!
Deja
After a long string of bad luck--coming into the shelter as a 5 mo. old, shy and afraid of the world; not finding an adopter despite months in a kennel; and needing knee surgery to correct a luxating patella--Deja found her forever home with loving young couple planning to have a family.
The couple wanted a dog that would be gentle and safe with kids. Deja fit that bill perfectly! Although big and clutzy at times, she would not deliberately hurt a fly. During her time in foster care (post knee surgery), she got along with everyone she met, canine, feline and human!
The new owners have worked patiently with Deja on her shyness, and have enjoyed watching their new family member come out of her shell and learn to love and trust them. Thank you to them both for giving this sweet girl the home she has long deserved!
Happy Tails to Deja!
Gus
Gus, the short half of our odd couple, might be sorry to leave Max, but he was so excited to be going off with his new people. Those short legs launched him into the car and away he went with the active couple that had fallen hard for our 'furry football'. Happy Tails to you, Gus!
Jesse
Our sweet, calm Jesse girl was adopted today to a couple with a college-aged daughter. They all fell in love at first sight. Happy Tails to Jesse !
Dolly
Our sweet, friendly Dolly went to her forever home today. Ben from Ojai worked on getting ready for Dolly for several weeks. She will now be named Jelly and will be only dressed in pink. Happy Tails to you, Dolly !
Dewey
Dewey was adopted today to a lovely couple with a 15 year old dog that gave Dewey the tails up. Dewey will also be visiting Grandpa who lives in a assisted living facility where he will put smiles on everyone's faces. Happy Tails to you, Dewey!
Ashton
Ashton was at the right place at the right time to be selected to be driven up to San Francisco SPCA. He passed his assessment and should be getting his forever home very soon. Happy tails to Ashton !
Bruce
Bruce was at the right place at the right time to be selected to be driven up to San Francisco SPCA. He passed his assessment and should be getting his forever home very soon. Happy tails to Bruce!
Demi
Demi the Pom went to a Pomeranian lover couple who always had 2 to enjoy, but had recently lost one. They stopped by the shelter to take a look, and were totally surprised to find we had 3 Pomeranians! They knew Demi would help them and Emma with their grief and adopted her straight away. Happy tails to Demi !
Dakota Too
Dakota, Too caught the eye of a mom/daughter duo from Camarillo when they were browsing the K-9 PALS website. Mom drove up to see Dakota a couple of times and just fell in love. Mom has a good eye because when her daughter met Dakota yesterday she agreed 100% that she was the girl for them. Lucky Dakota will have a huge yard and long walks each day, just what this active girl needs. Happy Tails to you, Dakota!
Sapphire
Sapphire went to her forever home with a family and a 6-year-old daughter. Her new family reports that everything is going well. Happy Tails to Sapphire !
Cameron
Brother and sister puppies--Cameron and Cooper--were found to be the perfect match with a terrific extended family in Morro Bay. Mom and Dad, Grandma, Aunty, 3 kids and Dulce the English Bulldog are welcoming not one, but two of the adorable pups turned into the shelter after being raffled off from a radio station at 5 weeks old. Happy Tails to you, Cooper and Cameron!

Hondo
None of the shelter volunteers could figure out why handsome Hondo, with all his obedience skills and long list of admirers, was still at the shelter after so long...Now we know. When the right family of Mom, Dad, and two girls walked by, he picked them, they picked him, a mutual admiration society was formed, and Hondo got to go home. Happy Happy Tails to you, Hondo!!
Cassidy
Cassidy--the first of the 3 orphaned puppies raffled off from a radio station at just 5 weeks old--has found her forever home. She will be a local favorite (when she's a bit older) with plans to go to Hendry's and Butterfly beaches with her new loving family. Look for the gorgeous brown and white girl with the very nice folks at the end of the leash. Happy Tails to you, Cassidy!
Erika
Sweet, gentle Erika met her new family in the morning, and was home with Mom and the kids by 4:00 pm thanks to the dedicated shelter volunteers who assisted with a whirlwind of meets and greets. Her new yard even has a trampoline. She may learn new tricks, but she'll certainly finally learn love. Happy Tails to you, Erika!
Mercury
Finally!! The last pup of a litter of 12 born March 2010 went to his forever home. Mercury waited patiently for just the right family to come along to shower him with all the love and affection he deserves. Our boy has a new mom, dad and son to take him for walks and rides in the car. A huge thank you to his foster mom and daughter for taking such good care of him in the meantime. Happy Tails to you Mercury.
