K-9 PALS' Special Funds, Programs, Donor Options, and Planned Giving Opportunities
Whether your donation is large or small, you will be making a difference in the lives of our shelter and rescue sanctuary dogs. They are counting on you. Tax ID# 01-0595647.

For our commmunity of homeless dogs, K-9 PALS relies on the generosity of the public. Donations literally make the difference between neglect and nurturing, hurt and healing, loneliness and a loving home. Because we are all volunteer with no paid staff, ALL donations go directly towards the dogs in our care. Your tax-deductible gift to K-9 PALS is so important to the needs of these dogs. Here are some ways your donation to K-9 PALS will be spent:
Medical care – surgeries, x-rays, blood panels, diagnostic tests, ultrasound tests, all kinds of veterinary care treatments, medications, and special diets.
Dog Behavior Training – training programs for dogs adopted from shelters and rescues and dogs still in the county shelters waiting for their forever homes.
Daily Care - Daily needs, including beds, blankets, leashes, collars, harnesses, food supplies, toys, behavior enrichment supplies, medical equipment, maintenance of dog areas in the shelter, all of which provide quality of daily life until forever homes are found for them.
You may make a donation to any of the following funds or make an unrestricted donation.
General Fund used for everything for daily care and needs for the dogs, including beds, blankets, leashes, collars, harnesses, food supplies, toys, behavior enrichment supplies, medical equipment, maintenance of dog areas, all of which provide quality of daily life until forever homes are found. The General Fund also helps protect our heavily used Medical Fund.
Medical Fund for surgeries of all kinds, life- saving surgeries and procedures, medications, diagnostics, medical equipment and supplies.
Sanctuary Dog Fund for our seniors and other dogs with serious chronic or terminal conditions, to help us provide them so that they can live out their remaining lives, not in a shelter, but with a loving family in a K-9 PALS forever foster home.
"Peaches" Fund for medical needs of senior dogs to provide everything from medications and diagnostics to live saving surgeries and treatments.
Dog Behavior Training Fund aka The Nigel Fund To provide behavior training for dogs in our county shelters and our rescue program.

K-9 PALS provides dog supplies for the dogs at ALL three SBCAS county animal shelters and to dogs in many foster homes. Please call or email us first to confirm your donation and confirm it for a drop-off or pick up. K-9 PALS has a drop-of location for donations ONLY at the Santa Barbara shelter at 5473 Overpass Road. AND - Because the shelter takes in donations for K-9 PALS, and also ASAP, BUNS, and SBCAS, PLEASE be sure to mark your donations with a note that they are for K-9 PALS, otherwise it can't be guaranteed that K-9 PALS will get them.
