Loni was the longest term dog at the local shelter, but not anymore. Loni was just adopted by K-9 PALS volunteer, who first fostered her, then realized that Loni was in her furever home! From our Adoption Archives February 2011: "Victor's adopter was so impressed with the quality of photos and information on the K-9 PALS web site that she decided to make the trip from Santa Monica to Santa Barbara to meet Victor and some other dogs at the Santa Barbara County shelter. Elmo was abandoned at the local shelter last August and had a fractured jaw and broken teeth so K-9 PALS was called on to take care of his medical issuse. We found out what a sweet boy he is, and know that he was being overlooked at the shelter featured him in our NP Pet of the Week and he got adopted! Elmo's new home is with a wonderful woman and little female Jack Russell Terrier. Happy Tails to you, Elmo!
