Amaya is a sweet dog. Volunteers at the shelter have this to say about her: Amaya loves to take treats so she will do anything to please you to get a treat. So she is highly food motivated and will be quite successful at learning when she trained with all positive reward training. She knows SIT, and she is learning DOWN and longer sits, and STAY. She loves to explore and smell things. She likes playing with a tennis ball, and she retrieves the ball when she's in the mood. When she is around other dogs in the shelter kennels is a very reactive to them, but once away from the other dogs she relaxes. She responds really well when she knows that her person is in charge, especially where other dogs are concerned so that her confidence and comfort level around other dogs can improve.
